While Vie Bikes is committed to your privacy, the Site and the Service do not respond to “do not track signals” or other mechanisms. For certain cookies that you can choose not to accept, if you do not accept those certain cookies, you will not be able to use all portions or all functionalities of the Service. We and our service providers may also use “pixel tags,” “web beacons,” “clear GIFs,” or similar means in connection with the Service and HTML-formatted email messages to, among other things, track the actions of Users and email recipients, to determine the success of marketing campaigns and to compile aggregate statistics about Site usage and response rates. We may also engage one or more third party service providers to serve online advertisements on our behalf. They may use a “pixel tag” to collect anonymous information about your visits to this Site and to other websites, and they may use that information to target advertisements for goods and services. This information is collected anonymously, in a manner that does not personally identify you.
IP Address. When you visit and interact with the Site, Vie Bikes and/or third parties with whom Vie Bikes has contracted to provide services to Vie Bikes may collect your Internet Protocol Address (“IP Address”), which is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider. This number is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the Site, along with the time(s) of your visit(s) and the page(s) that you visited. We use IP Addresses to monitor the regions from which Users navigate the Site and for fraud prevention purposes.

Only authorized Vie Bikes staff have access to your Personal Information in its entirety. Other staff may have access to portions of this information if it pertains to their job duties.
Geolocation: For some of our services, we may equip our bikes with Global Positioning System (GPS) bike tracking technology. GPS is a network of satellites that allows us to determine the location (latitude and longitude) of a Vie bike. This information is transmitted to Vie Bikes and temporarily stored (including while it is leased to you). Vie Bikes uses this information for a variety of important purposes. For example, we use GPS data to provide roadside assistance when you need it and to locate lost or stolen bikes. We do not actively track or monitor bike location, and we do not store historical GPS data regarding bike location – we use GPS data only to determine the last reported location of a Vie bike.
Vie Bikes may disclose your personal information, including location/GPS data, in response to legal process (for example, a court order, search warrant or subpoena) or requests from law enforcement authorities; in other circumstances in which Vie bikes believes the website, the Vie Bikes service or our bikes are being or has been used in violation of the applicable law or otherwise in the commission of a crime; when we have a good faith belief that there is an emergency that poses a threat to the safety of you or another person; or when necessary to protect the rights or property of Vie Bikes or third parties.
